Action Research on Parenting Counseling for Disabled Mothers

Abstract
Objectives: This study¡¯s purpose is to provide improvements and implications for child care counseling for women with disabilities by conducting primary and secondary counseling through planning, implementation, observation, and reflection processes, and by exploring the counseling experience of research participants.

Methods: A study was conducted at the request of the Disabled Welfare Center in A, Gyeonggi-do, and the first and second consultations were conducted 100 times from December 2020 to December 2021.

Results: The changes that the participants of this study experienced through participation in the implementation study were the beginning of specific self-expression, expansion of positive interactions with children, clarity of self-esteem desire, and exercise of initiative.

Conclusions: The findings of this study are expected to be used as clinical intervention data for women with disabilities and their families experiencing multi-layered difficulties.
